How To select modem to increase wifi coverage ? actually i have written this post on my another blog which is daftar unifi, but i have written it in my native language. Actually internet have become an essentyial for eveeryone especially to find information and to enjoy social life, social media and searching for information are become more important this day.
Mobile device is become more easy to use and wifi have become favourite to use by these user since a all mobile device such as laptop and handphone support wifi, But what happen when your internet got problem because of wifi problem?
Why my wifi is slow?
1. Actually Internet Service Provider Modem got very poor antenna with old technology.
2. Modem WiFi with poor DB antenna, DB antenna is show how far WiFi can travel.
3.Modem that just support 2.4 GHZ, GHZ is gigahertz, metric of wave that been used to represent WiFi Wave.
4.Your mobile device that just support 2.4 GHZ
Here are the solution
How to Increase wifi Strength?
1. Do not depend on Modem been provided by internet service provider.
2.Find Modem with high DB
3.Find Modem that support 5 GHZ Wifi
4.Buy Mobile device that support 5 GHZ Wifi

Why i said do not use Modem provided by Internet Service provider? Of course because usually ISP will buy bulk modem from Product vendor so it’s very difficult to ISP check the quality for each modem and if you want to buy a new modem, you should choose Modem with High DB, DB means how far and strength your Modem’s wifi can travel, DB also stands for how strength your modem can penetrate the wall.
Your wifi Strength will decrease when your Wifi meet wall, If your WiFi just got 6DBi antenna it will decrease almost half of signal, but if you got 30 DBi of Modem router, i won’t be a problem.
What is 5 GHZ Wifi? GHZ is metric for radio, standard radio is MHZ but for wifi it will use GHZ, actually MHZ can travel far away, but its not suitable for WiFi since WiFi need send very big data compare to standard Radio, High GHZ actually cannot travel far, 2.4 GHZ can travel far than 5 GHZ, but 2.4 GHZ got very big disadvantage which is it easily loss the signal when overlap with another 2.4 GHZ WiFi,
In other hand, 5 GHZ is more stable than 2.4 GHZ even though it cannot travel far than 2.4 GHZ but i got too many channel and make it very difficult to loss signal because of signal overlap and off course you got to have mobile device that support 5 GHZ and do not worry if your Phone model is 2013 onwards mostly them already support 5 GHZ.
Ussually all modem already got algorithm to change their Signal channel but you have to remember, this algorithm will chewing up the modem internet resource and make you modem easily damaged.
if you want more technical explaination you can ready malay version of this post, Thank you for reading and sorry for my poor english. HAHA
